John L. Krauss

John L. Krauss is an attorney, mediator, and arbitrator. He is the former founding Director of the IU Public Policy Institute. He holds a faculty appointment at the IU McKinney School of Law teaching mediation and dispute resolution and emeritus rank at the IU School of Public and Environmental Affairs. He is also serving as a senior advisor to the Chancellor of IUPUI.

His public service includes tenure as Deputy Mayor of Indianapolis with Bill Hudnut. He has over 40 years of executive experience in government, higher education, economic development, and not for profits. His civic activities are numerous and include Trustee, Citizens Energy Group, Deans Advisory Council, the Herron School of Art, and past Vice Chair and President of the Indianapolis Museum of Art.

His avocation is photography, showing in Indiana and appearing in national publications including The New York Times.
